I am in the midst of interviewing women to clean my house. I had previously used a service, but would like a little more flexibility in what they clean (more on this in a moment), plus would like to pay a little less.
It was taking me so much time to pick up before the service came that I was more anxious about that than having a messy house. So, I want someone who will come in, assess and figure out what to clean based on the "condition" of the house vs feeling like I am paying x amt of money and not really getting my money's worth unless everything is picked up and in it's place. Also, I was getting sick of being nickled & dimed for add'l little services (changing sheets, wiping the fronts of cabinets, edging, etc).
At any rate, is your cleaning person insured? What about bonded? I am going to ask about insurance when I follow up, but...just wanted to see if others thought this was a huge deal or not.
Re: Cleaning Lady - Insurance?
ugh - I don't even know.
I assume not though b/c I pay her cash, so I doubt she pays taxes.
She's worked for several of my neighbors for years so I trust her.
