  DS1 came on his edd
  DS2 was 15 days late. Ended up being induced.

  DS was born 6 days after the due-date his doctors gave me (based on my last period), or 3 days late based on the due-date I calculated (based on my ovulation date, I was charting so I know when it was).

  40 weeks is just an average. (And according to Harvard, it's actually 41w1d.)

  There are things you can do to reduce the risk of baby being born early, such as taking your prenatal vitamins and taking extra vitamin D. But in the end, some babies are just born early and some are just born late regardless of what the mother does.

  I delivered at 35W4D - emergency c-section due to no amneomic fluid. I had been on bed rest since having pre term labor at29 weeks.

  DD1 was born at 38 weeks 5 days

  DD2 was born at 40 weeks 1 day. I had really bad BH with DD2  and also had false labor with her so I was surprised she didn't show up sooner, especially since DD1 was born early.

  Had DS at 37wks 3 days. Water broke and they had to induce contractions at the hospital cuz I hadn't had any yet.

  I am a FTM & delivered 3 days before EDD, but had BH from 27 wks on & started contracting irregularly @ 33 wks and was still able to make it full term!

  39w5d for each of my boys...

  with this last pregnancy, I had constant BH contractions since 25 weeks.

  My DS was born 5 days before his EDD and my DD was 6 days before.  I had BH with both and what would be considered practice/early labor for weeks with DD.  If I was anybody else I probably would have gone in at least 5 times to be checked (DH had to talk me into going in when I actually was in labor because I still convinced myself I wasn't? I'm like the anti-panicker).
