U/S fears

My first pregnancy u/s is Tuesday! We are excited, but I am also ridiculously nervous. I tried to take a nap today, and couldn't sleep my mind was racing, full of worries.

My number one concern, isn't really a concern, but it is important to me. I want to be team green, DH does NOT. With the u/s in two days you would think we could have come to some kind of agreement... Nope! I am holding out, I just hope I can stay strong! (BTW: I feel very strongly that it is a boy, plus I am carrying really low.)

My other concerns are crazy things like a two headed baby, or I am not actually pregnant, just some weird condition...

So ladies, what were or are our fears about your u/s?

Re: U/S fears

  • If it was me.... I would tell him how strongly you feel about not knowing the sex until the baby is born and tell him if he really wants to know the tech can write it in n envelope fo him to open when your not around. As for the ultrasound it's normal to have worries like that. I worry about the baby too. I always make sure they tell me 10 fingers, 10 toes, lol. I just want a healthy baby and fear gets the best of us sometimes. Try to relax it is very unlikely your baby has 2 heads, lol. GL with your u/s!
  • My sonogram is today and I've been so excited and nervous its ridiculous. I've had a reoccuring dream that the tech tells us we are having twins, while it would be a blessing it also seems like somewhat of a nightmare.

Good luck at yours! Everything will go well!

  • U/S always make me so nervous. I won't detail my fears because then everyone else will have more stuff to worry about, though!

My last pg I ended up having multiple U/S because my cervix was short, then my fluid was low, then DD was measuring too small, etc, etc. It seemed like every time I went in, something else was potentially wrong.

I just want to know this little one is doing ok in there!

  • I was very, very nervous before mine.  I'm still pretty small without much of a bump and I was worried they would tell me the LO wasn't developing properly.  Fortunately everything was perfect.  Good Luck and let us know how it goes!

  • I hope that it goes well!  I was nervous too.  I am not sure that my DH would be able to keep from letting it slip accidentally if he had found out and I had not.  Hopefully you guys will be able to make a decision that you can both agree on.
