Hmmm...to go to work or not??

I've been having pretty strong contractions 4-6 minutes apart for the last hour. I should leave for work in 15mins. Do I go in? Hmmmm...

Re: Hmmm...to go to work or not??

  • I think it depends on your job and whether you'd be closer to or farther away from the hospital if you do go.

  • If you think you can go in.  But like PPs have said, it depends on your work, and how close you would be to the hospital.  Great excuse for an easy day of pay :-)

  • I would wait an hour or so and see what happens. Don't tell them that you are having contractions or they will bombard you with questions. Just say not feeling well. Good luck.

  • What did you wind up doing?

Personally, I'd go in to work bc I can't afford to take a single sick day until after baby arrives. I'd go in and leave early rather than take a sick day. at least show up, if only for 20 mins! then you still have that sick day for post baby!

  • I ended up going into work. As soon as I was going to call in and wake up DH the contractions stopped. Our kid already has an amazing work ethic, LOL!
