Johnson and Johnson issues?

I was wondering if anyone else had issues with J&J baby wash was leaving dry patches all over LO? We took him to dr and they suggested Aquaphor and said that some babies don't do well with it. And he has a rash under his neck that's dry as well...We go back to dr for 2 month check up on monday. Nothing seems to be irritating him and no fevers. He gets one or two formula bottles a day as I am trying to wean. Any ideas? He's had the formula before, with no issues, so I don't think it is that..

J&J shampoo and body wash really dried out my sons skin too. We switched to Aveeno and that worked out much better.

Thanks for posting this. I have noticed the dry patches and rash on lo's neck too. I really didn't think much of it until I read this. Looks like we will try Aveeno too.

We use a little J&J baby wash for wipe downs (no baths yet) and he has some dry and peeling skin....is this the same thing? I just thought he was growing, thanks, now I will keep an eye out.

Baby magic is also good and cheaper than aveeno.JJ is not hypoallergenic and did the same to my kids.

For a baby as young as yours (1w3d), DavidStamps, the peeling is likely normal. It's the skin getting used to being outside of the womb!

Our LO had the same issue, so the pedi told us to use only things that are unscented and have no soap...like Cetaphil. He also suggested using a moisturizer like CeraVe right after the bath while his skin is still damp so it helps the skin absorb the water. It has seemed to help.

Allergies to J&J run in my family and have done similar things to some family members ... try a store brand and see if that makes a difference.
