Distracted?

My 6 week old gets very distracted if it's not quiet when she nurses. I have a 2 year old so quiet is not realistic! But even if I talk or sing to her, she gets upset. Anyone else's newborn like this?? Everything I read said babies usually aren't distracted until 6 Months!!

    My 5 week old is like this when we are out. He eats more frequently because he gets distracted and will only nurse for 10 to 15 min increments. I dont know how to fix it either.

    It's making me frustrated!! My DD1 just walked in to tell us goodnight and DD2 pulled off and started screaming and crying! I feel bad for her, but she can't have complete silence !
