I'm still new to pumping and introducing bottles. I know BM is supposed to be good in the fridge for up to 7 days. However I went to make a bottle for DH to give DD. I had BM from 3 differant days (6 days old, 5 days old, and 3 days old.) I smelt them all and they all smelled sour. So I tasted them all and they all tasted sour too. The older they were the more sour they smelled and tasted. So I dumped them all. Thankfully I had some that was just pumped that morning. It smelled fine so we gave her that.
However, just out of curiosity, I smelled and tasted some fresh BM after my next pumping session. It smelled fine, but I still think it tasted sour (not as sour as the older milk though). I've heard BM tastes sweet? But maybe I just don't like the taste of BM.
So I'm wondering . . .

At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid. Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth. If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP. My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!
