Subject- AW: Ran a 5k 6 weeks pp

So today I ran a 5k surf to surf! It was the first 5k I have done since the Turkey Trot I did in November last year. I am so proud of myself. I even finished in a decent time of 35 minutes! I am sure I will not be able to walk tomorrow, but I am still pumped.

    Thank you ladies! I am so sore right now. I made sure not to over do it and it felt great to be out in the fresh ocean air. I am dreading going to sleep now. I don't want to wake up in the morning feeling like I have been hit by a truck.

    I am hoping to do a triathlon in December, but I am a long way from that at the moment.

    I had to double check that this wasn't Lisa's post...ya know, she's quite the runner!

    Anyways, holy! Congrats! I couldn't even run five miles before pregnancy. Glad you're getting back out there!

    That's awesome!  I'm doing one at 9 weeks pp and hoping I make it!  However, I won't be running on the beachSad  Instead, some frosty NY October air!

    Wow! Did your doctor give you the okay? My doctor said I shouldn't start running again until after my 6 week pp appointment. (Which is this Friday, thank goodness! I've been dying to get back on the road.)
