What kind of sling do you have? I registered for and got a Baby Bjorn, but I was wondering if I would like/want/need one of the other less back-packy, more sling-ey-er slings.
My sister never needed anything more than a bjorn.
My friend however, needed her hotsling before she could use her bjorn. Little Chloe did NOT want to be put down, she would scream! If she wanted to do anything, it was the hotsling.
It all depends on your child. I would honestly just stick with your bjorn for now, you can always run to Target and grab a hotsling if you need it.
We have a comfy Joey sling, but there are tons of brands out there that I've heard great things about - Hotslings, Peanut Shell, New Native are all relatively easy to find and get your hands on. I didn't really like the Bjorn:( It puts so much pressure one your back and shoulders, so that made me never want to use it for more than 10 or 15 minutes. For how much they cost, there's a ton out there that functions similarly for you that redistributes the weight to your hips so that it can be more comfy for longer periods of time and has have higher weight limits so that you can use it for longer as your baby gets bigger and make it worth the money you spend. The pouch slings aren't a ton better for me, but I think they are for a lot of people, so that would be worth a try! You can get them for very inexpensive by mom sellers on etsy.com, too - just make sure you get it sized well to fit you:) I like it still for really quick trips, she just wasn't a fan as a newborn. Carriers are just so hard! They depend a lot on what fits well and works well for you and what your baby likes. Good luck finding something you like!
