DD has always wanted to eat at night. But she is a perfect dreamfeeder, she doesn't even open her eyes and goes back down right away. Until three days ago.
She wakes up screaming, eats, and screams at the idea you might want her to go back to sleep. We have to sneaky rock her back to sleep ( DH likes to sing/chant "we're just sitting, sitting, sitting").It is a paniced frantic kind of cry. She is like this at naptime too, but happy as a clam as long as we are not tryng to make her sleep.
I know she is teething (1 canine in, somewhere between 1 and 3 uppers on thier way), but where did this behaviour come from? Advil doesn't seem to change anything, and that usually almost completely solves her teething pain.
Help!
Re: What is up with my baby?
I am thinking when he reaches a more light sleep, the teething pain may wake him up and he cries, and is then comforted when I hold him. Lately though I let him cry, and he's back to sleep in no more than a minute. Maybe try putting her to sleep even though she cries when you put her down and give her a minute or two to work it out herself? I also have a froggie in the crib DS loves which he cuddles with and helps him.

I only feed her when she rouses herself. I have been trying to just put her soother back in, but i feed her is she starts crying and it has been more than 3 hours.
Have you noticed any other signs of separation anxiety or signs of learning a new skill? Ben got super fussy and has had many more meltdowns if he is away from me. If he wakes up and I'm not there he freaks out. If I try and get him to sleep, he's been fighting it more and more. Lately, he will only nap on me.
The other times that I have noticed this kind of crying is when he is learning something new. It's like he thinks he is going to miss something or can't practice his new skill, so he tries to fight sleep with every fiber of his tiny little being!

Yes, I think she is on the verge of crawling.
Ahh! If she is struggling to figure it out right now, that could very much be the cause of this. Give her a few days and see if she starts crawling and the crying subsides. Good luck!
