Monroeville ped rec

Anybody with experience with a ped supportive of delayed vaccination schedules in or around Monroeville? I've heard good things about CCP and PAW, but not relating to delayed vac support.

Re: Monroeville ped rec

  • I take both my sons to CCP-GIL in Murrysville.  I live in Monroeville though...they are located by the McDonald's on Rt 22.  I love them.  My boys see Dr. Shaver.  I haven't inquired about delayed vaccination but they always seem really open to what I want to do, my opinions, and my thoughts of treatments for my boys.  Highly recommend the whole practice!

  • I don't live out that way, but I wish Kids Plus Pediatrics had an office closer to me.  They do have one out in Greenfield/Squirrel Hill.  I've heard good things about them, but nothing specific to delayed vaccination.  Personally, I'm incredibly impressed with the number of Certified Lactation Consultants on staff!
  • After failing to find someone in monroeville who would, and having a very bad experience with east suburban pediatrics, we went with kids plus. They are AMAZING, and their office is only 10-15 minutes away from monroeville depending on traffic. I also only schedule his appointments for midday or later to avoid parkway traffic. They will talk to you about making the choice to delay vaccination, but if you do choose to, they will still accomodate you. In fact, LO is 4 months- the only time we discussed it was at his initial 1 month visit, and after that they just say "are we continuing to do the delayed vaccines?" Also, the breastfeeding center is there, and they are amazing too. They also take insurance if you need to see a LC after you leave the hospital (assuming you have a hospital birth).
