My hips are killing me ...

I'm a side sleeper by nature, but have noticed the last few weeks I was waking up a few times with hip pain.  Last night it was very frequent.  I think I need to bite the bullet and get one of the pregnancy pillows I've read about (snoogle?) becaues I'm exhausted and achy this morning (the pain is subsiding now that I'm up and moving around).

Try the son ogle, I've noticed a bid change in hip and back pain when I use it. It's like a third person in our bed bc it's so huge, but it helps line everything back up in place. GL!

How are you feeling anyway? Any SCH problems lately? I've been wondering about you!

I have a snoogle and love it!  I am no longer side sleeping at this point.  I am sleeping propped up to avoid acid reflux but I still use the snoogle for side and leg support.  I definitely think it's worth it!

The snoggle is really big...well they are all IMO and I thought they'd be more annoying than comfortable.  I went with the boppy cuddle pillow and it's perfect.  It's tear shaped - between your legs and support for belly.  easy to maneuver with.

I have non-pregnancy issues with my hips and the best thing for me is a memory foam mattress topper. It has been a godsend for me, couldn't sleep without it and is under $100, might be worth considering :)

I have hip and back pain too.  I finally bit the bullet and bought the Snoogle.  It came yesterday and from my one night with it, I HATE IT.  I don't know if it's because I am short or have a smaller frame but it was way too puffy.  The head part was too hard and high to be a pillow and the leg part put too much space between my legs which just made the hip issue worse.  I know I am in the minority with this but wanted to give my opinion.

Around 13 weeks I started getting bad hip pain and trouble sleeping so I got a preggle pillow made by snoogle but its a little smaller and doesn't have the head part so you can use your own pillow. I like it and its not so big.that it kicks DH out of bed. Sometimes though it just doesn't matter what I do and I'm still uncomfortable, but this seems to help.

I was crying last night because my right hip was soooo bad. I couldn't move to get out of bed, but my bladder was full. Not a good combo!! I went with a regular body pillow...I didn't like the idea of being forced to use the snoogle under my head too. Up til now, the body pillow has been great. I think I'm just at the point where nothing can make me comfortable!!

I was up at 5am today due to hip pain. I have the snoogle and I also do not like it at all - I have tried putting it in a circle and laying in the middle, sleeping on my side with it supporting my back and tucking it under my knees, and then on my side with my knees hugging it. It's too high and awkward, and I can't use the head support as a pillow - way too short. I got mine on craigslist but I wouldn't recommend spending the $50 + on it, unless you try one out in a store (I know that would look crazy, but worth it) or find one on craigslist for cheap. I might have to switch over to a plain ol' Target body pillow. :/ Sorry to be a snoogle basher - I keep trying it hoping to see the light, but just haven't yet.

I had terrible hip pain. I am not a side sleeper, so I think it made it worse. I found the snoogle to not help much with the pain. But, I am hip and back pain free with the snoogle and like 6 pillow propping me up. I lay on my back propped or on my sides propped. With laying on my back, I put the snoogle in a cirlce so it helps support my back against the mound of pillow, and it supports my knees. When I switch to my sides, I pull the snoogle straight for back or belly support while still being propped.

I just stopped bleeding earlier this week - so this last bleed lasted 5 weeks.  I have my anatomy scan on Friday, and we'll be looking to see what size it is at that point.  I'm always nervous before an appointment, but I think I'm even more nervous this time around.
