This shouldn't still bother me

I went on FB this morning and one of my friends had an "We're expecting!" FB message.   It was one of those stupid jokes that go around now and then.  They are "expecting" Santa in 12 weeks.   I know it should bother me anything more since we are weeks from meeting our little girl, but it really rubbed me the wrong way.   Real announcements are still hard enough.

    Our perfect baby boys were born at 36w1d!!

    Fake announcements seem so heartless!

    Saw this the other day from DHs older aunt, so I knew it was going to be a stupid joke. Still annoyed the heck out of me.

    DH put on anastrozole to increase counts
    June/July 2011 100 mg Clomid + TS IUI#1 & IUI 2 - BFN :-(
    Forced break due to DH getting spinal surgery in August 2011
    IVF - January 2012: BFN
    FET in April 2012 - BFP at 6dp5dt! Beta #1 at 9dp5dt: 82.5, Beta #2 at 12dp5dt: 352 Beta #3 at 19dp5dt: 6000, saw heartbeat and one little bean at 5W6D!
    After nearly 3 years of waiting our LO was born December 18th 2012!

    Those things are sooooo stupid! A real announcement is hard enough...fake ones hurt because it'd hard to because I know I will NEVER be in a mainframe where I can joke about being pgs!!

    Me 38, DB 38. Unexplained infertility. TTC 3 years. 3 failed IUI's. IVF #1 5-20. 3 embies transferred day 3. First beta 5-31. BFN. IVF#2 ER 7-31. 3 embies transferred day 3. Beta 1=144. beta #2=527. beta#3 3027. US: 1 perfect heartbeat at 156!

     Me too!  I really really wanted to comment how hurtful this could be to some people to joke about pregnancy.  How can our friends be so ignorant to even consider this?

    I'm SOO glad that I'm public about IF for just this reason--I would definitely post back something about it being inappropriate and rude.
