At first we had a mini crib because we were in a small one bedroom apartment and shared room with baby. For that crib we got the Crescent Mini
which is a coiled mattress. I really liked it, it seemed good quality and comfortable.
A few months later we got a full sized crib when we moved to a house and we got the Heavenly Dreams
mattress. It's a foam type, and seems a little cheaper than the coil, but still comfy. I was worried foam would have a bad chemical odor, but it didn't. It's lightweight, which makes changing the sheets easier.
How did I choose them? I just read reviews on Amazon and made my purchase. I figured a mattress can't be too difficult to buy.
Re: Mattress??
If you want foam, pretty much the best one is the colgate classica I.
If you don't want foam or just want something cheaper - we got the sealy baby firm and we like it a lot, no complaints at all.
