I am freaking out. My DD heartbeat had some decels on the nst test this am, so we are going in for an induction today. 40w1d. I've had two previous had reactions to pitocin so they are starting with breaking my water. I've been 45 cm for over two weeks already. I really wanted a natural birth so I am freaking out. Anyone have experience with this type of induction?!?!?
Re: water breaking induction
no personal experience, just means they monitor you more closely for infections and you will most likely not be able to labor longer than 24 hours. the fact that you are already 4-5cm is definitely a huge help though.
good luck!
Good luck! I would choose having my water broken over pitocin - hopefully it will much more smoothly than with the pit!!
ETA: I'm sorry if that sounded like I downplayed the scariness of an induction - didn't mean that at all! Just sending positive thoughts that hopefully that will be the ticket to get things moving so you can still go natural!! You can do it!!
