Baby eating habits changed... thoughts?

Hi ladies

Elise is almost 5 months old and recently gone thru some major changes in her eating habits. She was housing 5, 7oz bottles up until this past weekend when suddenly she is cutting back on her intake and spitting up a ton more. She IS going to the dr today but i mean really, how much can they tell you and i'm afraid they are just going to say wait it out and see. She is taking like 3 oz at a time now and sometimes spits it all up after. I had such a good eater and now it's like she's a ticking time bomb until you get a decent burp out of her. Her demeanor hasn't really changed, she's been happy and herself. There has been some sickness at daycare/home but she only has a very slight (clear) runny nose sometimes. she does have AR and is on that zantac liquid stuff. she is already on similiac sensitive.

anyone have any thoughts or past experience?

any info will be greatly appreciated! TIA

Toward the end of 4 months DS started taking less and less formula 34 oz every 45 hours vs 8 oz every 34 hours and, like your LO, would spit up a ton. It lasted about a week or two and then he was back to normal and has been taking 8 oz every 4 or 5 hours, plus 12 oz pureed fruits/veggies two to three times a day. During the time he was eating less and less frequently he was also napping a lot more than he had been and was not sick or anything so I think it may have been a growth spurt or something.

It's normal babies intake will change a lot of times over the next year. Just like there's time you eat more than others I'm sure. Just as soon as you think you know what to expect it changes.
