At least the doctor didn't give us a super hard time like she did at Grace's 18 month check up (insisted we had to take her to a specialist- pediatric gastroenterologist)

Re: My teeny tiny peanut...2 year stats

  • My DS was just over 23 lbs at his 2 year appointment, but he's following his curve so the pedi is not worried, nor has been since he's seen the same trend for at least a year. Some are small, some are big... nothing to worry about!

  • My daughter was around that size. Her specialist wanted us to start her on Periactin and I've seen a difference. She's almost 25 lbs now.

  • My oldest was just over 21 pounds right around 2 years.  That weight was taken when I took her in for bronchitis though, so she really hadn't eaten much in a week.  The doctor was slightly concerned just because she had flat-lined on the weight (she was just over 20 pounds at a year) but also took into consideration the sickness.  When I took her for shots a couple months later she was over 23 pounds, so obviously the sickness had something to do with her weight at 2 years, but still, she's small.
