First IUI Tomorrow

So I went in for an ultrasound today and had a good follicle 18mm on one side. My doctor believes that I may ovulate tomorrow or Sunday. We are in Japan and we have a typhoon headed this way this weekend so he gave me an HCG shot to I guess "speed up the process", if I'm not mistaken? I wasn't expecting that at all but if it helps I am all for it. I have read on here that most women give themselves the shot in their stomachs but they gave it to me in my upper arm. Does this even matter? Sorry about my lack of knowledge on the shots but it's never anything my other doctors had ever considered. Anyways, we are super excited we are doing this tomorrow and I guess I thought I would have a day or two to mentally prepare myself for it but I guess it's now or never, it feels like we've been waiting so long to get to this step! 11/2011 HSG=both tubes clear
One natural (monitored) cycle of Clomid, 50mg 2/2012= BFN
Getting ready for first IUI, 3/2012 received orders to Japan! (postponed IUI)
5/2012 Moved to Japan, fought Tricare for months over referral (no fertility treatment on our military base) for Japanese RE out in town!
8/2012 Started seeing new RE
9/2012, post coital test= hostile cervical fluid, (finally) moving on with first IUI!
9/29/2012 IUI #1+trigger= BFN
10/27/2012 IUI #2+100mg Clomid CD5-9+trigger= BFN
11/28/2012 IUI #3+100mg Clomid CD5-9+trigger= BFN
12/28/2012 IUI#4+100mg Clomid CD5-9+trigger=BFN
2/1/2013 IUI#5+injectables+trigger=BFN
3/2013 IUI#6+injectables+trigger=???

    I have done all 3 trigger shots in my stomach. The nurse did give me the option of thigh or stomach (never the arm). However, I am sure your doctor knows what s/he is doing.

    No experience yet with shots, but wanted to wish you luck with the IUI and the storms coming. Hope they miss you!!!!

    Progesterone level 4/2011= 11.29. SA normal. HSG normal.
    8/11 Clomid 50mg=BFN progesterone level 35,

    12/11 Clomid 50mg=Progesterone 31
    01/12-Break from meds-BFN
    Feb-cd3 blood work FSH(5), AMH(0.56) 02/12 Break....
    03/01/12-Clomid 50mg with IUI #1=BFN.
    04/01/12-Another round of clomid with IUI#2=BFN.
    5/8/12-Diagnostic Laparoscopy-found minimal endometriosis and small fibriod.
    June and July-much needed break
    August-Bravelle 75 with IUI#3- BFN
    September-Bravelle injects with IUI #4-BFP!! MC 10/7/12 : ( Sonohysterogram-Normal
    December- Bravelle(3 good follicles & E2 1252) with IUI#5 BFFN :*(
    July IVF #1- BFP! : )  Beta #1-245, #2- 703, #3- 1655, #4- 3553 YAY!  Praying and Praying this one sticks around!
                      1st U/S scheduled for Aug 23rd!
