Humidifier?

Anyone know when to start using a humidifier in the nursery? I can't believe I am even asking this after the hot summer we had in WI! It's been getting into the 40s at night.

We only use it when LO is sick or if the air is too dry.

We haven't used it yet buy will be once we turn on the heater. It's been too hot here and we're still turning on the a/c
