Girl name help

What are your thoughts on these two girl names...  Which do you prefer and do you have any middle name suggestions?  For a middle name we'd like to use a J name (but not required) and to try to keep it on the shorter side since we have a long German sounding last name.  Thanks for your thoughts.

    I LOVE Victoria.  It would be on our list but one of my cousin's has a daughter named Victoria.  

     My favorite is probably Victoria Jade. Some other options would be Victoria Jane, Victoria Joan, Vicotria Jill, Victoria Joy, Victoria Jean or non J names... Victoria Kate, Victoria Rose, Victoria Grace, Victoria Shae, Victoria Hope, Victoria Brooke.

    See, here's my only problem with Victoria.  This was my number #1 name for a while, my husband and I both love it.  But then he started saying the nickname Vicki (I hate this nickname!)  However I do like the nickname Tori/Tory.  I just know that we will end up using some sort of nickname for Victoria since it's such a long name.  And I do not want to take the chance that this baby could end up being called Vicki on a regular basis.  My husband likes the nn Vicki, and I think he would call her that so I could see Vicki really sticking.  I feel like even if the two of us agree on using Tori as a nickname that there's a decent chance Vicki could still be used.

    I love the name Kate.  My favorite Kate J name would be Kate Josephine followed by Kate Juliet.  But I love PPs suggestion of Kate Victoria.

    I love Kate. How about Kate Audrey, Kate Evelyn, Kate Olivia, Kate Sophia, Kate Alice, Kate Julia, Kate Abigail ?

    I like both names. My only caveat with Victoria is that I do not like the nicknames Vicki or Tori.  That makes the name a no go for me.  Therefore, I'd choose Kate!

    I love Kate (but I'm a Kaitlin, so I'm partial!), but I'm not crazy about a short first name with a longer middle name - just doesn't usually flow right to me. 

    I love Victoria too, but I agree, I like Tori and HATE Vicki. If you think that'll be a problem with your husband, since he's already doing it, I may stay away from it. Because you're right, you WILL shorten it, and he may end up using Vicki since he likes it... Tough call!
