2 weeks late and I never thought she was coming out!
Induction was successful. Little long. Pretty painful. Did not get my spinal shot until 7cm which was at about 9 last night and I started contracting about 3 am.
I did very well with minimum pitocin. It was at an 8 at 1pm when my water broke on it's own and went to 10 when it was time to push!
Baby Grace showed up at 10:29 weighing in at a decent 8lbs 8oz and 21.5in long. The only thing I could think to say when she came out was "Did I just have a baby?"
DH did amazing! I could not have done it without him. A few of the last contractions I felt were hell! He kept me going. My sister ended up in the delivery room with me and helped hold me up to push.
Aftermath: I did not even have a 1st degree tear! Yeah! Had 1 figure 8 stitch in the vaginal wall and I am doing great. No pain medication needed. Just Benedryl! I cannot stop itching. I was really sick after labor as well. But I cannot complain because the rest of the aftermath was good to me. I could not pee so I have a cath in. Hoping it comes out soon so I can shower and walk around.
Breast feeding is a trial. Tried a nipple sheild and hopefully she will latch better. She isn't even 24 hours yet so I am trying not to get discouraged.
I am sorry I cannot post a pic from my iPhone! I will try my best to get one right after we get home! Or maybe I will email glitters and she can post it.
Thank you ladies for all the support and snark through out the pregnancy. I look forward to going through the 4th tri with you all!
