Just wondering if anyone on the board has 2 sets of twins or multiples? or knows anyone who does. Being a female fronted house hold means 2 uterus so the possibility for 2 sets of multiples is very possible
but I was just wondering if anyone on here has 2 sets of multiples or knows anyone with 2 sets and if so How is it ?
Thanks,
Re: multiples
I know 2-3 families in our multiples group that have 2 sets of multiples. I know one has 2 sets of twins (6y apart) and one has a set of triplets and then a set of twins (not sure of the other family.) And at work I have a handful of families who have multiple sets of twins (I have one mom who has 3 sets plus 3 singletons.)
Like everything, it is going to depend on resources (time, money, extra hands), how far apart the kids are, willingness of both parents to pitch in 1000% of the time, etc. But one thing I have heard repeatedly, was that the 2nd set was easier than the first because you know what to expect and have already "been there, done that."
The head of our multiples group has 9-year-olds and 5-year-olds. We met her when we were really in the thick of it and I just about fainted when she said that. But she echoed the sentiment above: the second set was no big deal because they already knew what to expect and how to handle it.
Even though things are much easier for us already, I cannot imagine ever referring to a set of twins as "no big deal" :-D Honestly it's one of our big fears about trying for #3. I don't want to say I'd rather have 2 than 4 - because man these little guys are great and I'm so glad we have both of them - but going through the fear of a twin pregnancy again and the very hard early days - that's not a thought I relish.
I missed this the first time. WOW. Nine kids??? That's pretty unusual these days!
not around these parts.
hmm .. so interesting S n L are our first two and - I dont think its difficult but we have nothing else to compare it to .. also we have 2 moms who work from home so that might change things. I think we are lucky that way in that most people we know with twins there is only one parent around so perhaps that takes the burden off somehow...
Thanks for the input. We are talking # 3 and the whole AMA thing and we only have one vial of sperm so I am thinking IVF is where its at but still very early to think of things ... i just hope this hear thing is just a fluke . I told M that if my test is false positive then I will do # 3 if the test comes back Positive for a blockage and i survive everything then #3 will also be a go - Its a win win in my eyes i think ...
EEK.. crazy

Like 2brides i had a client who had 3 sets plus one singleton.... and honestly i would wish her struggle on no one. She conceived one set while taking hormonal birth control. Talk about fertile...

Cautiously optimistic.
