so i went out looking for the dumb cat

I have shaken his food around, gone out every hour and called him, and opened a can of wet food. I put Q in a stroller and took the wet food with me, dribbling it around in the block around my house.
I was half way home when i saw...
my dumb dog. Somehow she got out of the yard and was tracking me down but didn't want to follow us home. I had Q in a really awkward umbrella stroller so you can't imagine how fun it was dragging a 45 lb dog with one hand and trying to maneuver the stroller with the other.
Anyway, the search was fruitless but at least i didn't lost my dog too.
What the hell is up with my pets?

Yeah, i get the pet mom of the year award today for sure. I have no idea how she got out of the fence. My little dog was still in the back yard so it couldn't have been too easy.
Maybe she wanted to help to find your cat?

more like she wanted to eat the food we set out front for the cat. I found the bowl half way across the yard. Apparently she is not as concerned today.
A neighbor told me he saw the cat running around a street away this morning. I'm having H print signs at work.
I'm picturing her eating the food as you dribble it around the block and she's thinking "of course mom wants me to follow her she's leaving me food!"
Sorry about the kitty, fx he comes home soon.
Our cat ran away for 4 days once and H left the door propped open every night (obviously you won't do that) and when he had about given up hope she waltzed right through that door and hopped on his lap when he wasn't paying attention.
