i want to take a bath

my doctor has said no baths until after my bleeding stops, which could be 6-8 weeks. never in my life have i missed soaking in a nice hot bath this much. i look at the tub with literal longing.

anyone else dealing with soaking sudsy withdrawls?

They had me take 2-3 baths a day at the hospital after the birth to help with stitches healing. No suds though, just water.

When I asked my midwife if it was ok to take a bath after we got home, I think around day 4, she said go for it...she said to avoid bubblebaths and putting anything in the water though.

I was also told a warm bath, water only, twice a day would be helpful to healing and getting swelling down.

Yep I was told to take baths with epsom salts. They actually had me in the bath as soon as I could get out of bed from delivery!

I have taken at least one bath a day for the past 4 weeks to help with stitches pain. No baths at all? Weird.

I was told no baths for 6 weeks but I had a c/s. I'm having serious withdrawals.

I am! I have not been able to take a bath since may because of my cerclage and now no baths until my 6 week visit! I am counting down the days until Oct. 29
