Leaky diapers

Anyone else having problems with leaky diapers. DS is a week old and pees through almost every diaper! They are as tight as possible and I always try to point it down. I've tried different diaper brands as well. Is this a normal newborn problem?

This is what fixed it for us. I kept her in nb and dealt with it til her cord stump fell off, then moved her up. Much less leaks now!

This is probably what we will do as well. He doesn't weigh 8lbs yet anyway, just 7lbs

DS peed through like 90 of his diapers until 2 other moms of boys advised me to push his penis to face down. I waited until his circimcision totally healed, and we haven't had a leaky diaper since.

Well. I try to push it down but I'm real nervous about it cause his circumsion is still healing. When I do push it down I feel like it ends up pointing back up anyway

I had this problem with our DS. We tried pampers and huggies. Both leaked. We switched to LUVS and havent had a problem since.

We had the same problem. I found it to he the brand. Huggies was the worst, pamper's works best.

We had this problem. Moving up to size 1 solved it. I moved him before his stump fell off, I just folded the top of the diaper down.

I've tried everything. Moving up a size, trying Huggies and Pampers, pointing his penis down. We still have leaks. Huggies seemed to work for awhile - but now I am back to size 1 pampers. Maybe I'll try Luvs next.

The only time we had leakage problems was when we used Huggies. We quickly exchanged all the Huggies for Pampers.

Oh but then there was a blow out yesterday which resulted in poo getting all over me, baby, her blanket and the floor. Yikes! But when I was removing the diaper I realized it was slightly askew which was what caused the problem. That wont happen again! Not fun trying to clean up that mess. Especially the part where I had to figure out how to get a poo covered onesie over babies head!
