for activities with Your LO's? We read & play with her toys. Sometimes M will color & We often listen to music & dance around but what other activites do You all do during the day?
Although I am full time working mom, we try to fit in fun stuff on the weekends:
Finger paint in a zip loc baggie, stuff puff balls / cotton balls into a container with a small hole (we use old wipes containers), swiffer with two links taken out to make it thier size so they can "help" sweep, we have recently had some leaves fall land they are loving putting the leaves into sand pails and then dumping them out or just running through a pile of them, cheap sponges cut in half to make "quiet" blocks that they can stack (the dollar store cheap sponges sort of stick together so they are easy for them to stack), walks in wagon, walks in stroller. the other day i gave them a soft mini hockey stick and a big rubber ball and they had great fun chasing that ball around with thier sticks, they are learning to use forks and spoons, so giving them a snack that requires that always buys a good 20 - 30 minutes for precious time. have fun!
My LO spends a lot of time playing with his toys by himself (30+ min stretches happily playing by himself, pedi says we're lucky) but when he gets bored of that we read, sing songs, and spend a lot of time outside just walking around exploring and pointing out things we see. Lately I've been showing him a lot of dance videos on youtube trying to get him moving around, but he just stares.
I put on a lot of puppet and stuffed animals routines. He has this one raccoon we call the burglar, who goes into the laugh and learning home and steals stuff and hides it under pillows (LO can turn on the light to scare him away), another puppet asks LO for food all the time, another one shows him how his toys work. He laughs so hard when I do it, but sometimes I end up hiding all the puppets....otherwise he will chases me around with them all day crying for a puppet show.
I also let him "help" with chores, like taking laundry in and out of baskets, putting sock balls in drawers, laying in the bed while I make it. If we have nothing to do we go to a playground, library, or to the play space in the mall.
