what i was told about the RnP

Let me preface this with this, I know this isn't the case for everyone, but I thought I would share.

Luke had his one month check up today I mentioned to his Dr that when he sleeps in his RnP, he tends to grunt during the night in his sleep. I explained that it wasn't the same grunt as his awake grunt. She said that because of the incline, his airway may be partially closed. She advised me not to use it during night sleeps, until his head gets a little stronger and he holds it off his chin when he is at that angle. She said naps were ok, because I was awake to monitor him, that when he was awake he was ok because he was holding his head off his chin.

    Hmm I have never heard this about the RnP but I did see a lot about it creating flathead/indentation problems. DD has been sleeping in her RnP at night so this is good to know.

    Like I said, it's just what I was told. My kid is a weirdo. It may just be the way he sleeps, who knows. Haha

    Glad you posted this! I read the thread the other day regarding the grunting and if I rememeber correctly ALOT of the momma's agreed with the access noise. My LO slept in a borrowed RNP the other night for the first time. AND he was extra grunt-y! We will be transitioning back to the bassinet and I will probably restrict the RNP for naps, if that.

    Hmm, I've never heard DS (or even DD when she was a NB) grunt in the RNP.  I hope your LO is okay mama!

    Thank you for the information momma, it is appreciated. We're going to try the PnP to see if he still grunts.

     We went with Croix. There is no way he could have been a Cullen. Thanks for remembering and asking, makes me feel special. Embarrassed

    DH put Dalton Croix back on the table when I was in the hospital. All I could think was "I can't take KBradshaw's name." I couldn't tell him that, though haha.

    I don't know how to explain this "grunt" it's almost like a snore...I don't know. It's not like his normal grunt.
