waxy ears :(

How does a little baby have so much wax in his ears. I clean his ears daily and wonder where the heck all of this comes from? Has anyone else notice this?

    I've cleaned his ears a few times. Only when I can really see the wax starting to build up. My DS hates when I clean his ears and starts wiggling so it's kinda hard to do.

    I just told MH tonight that if this keeps up I wouldn't be surprised if he needs tubes in his ears and I'm expecting ear infections by the time he's 6 mths old. I clean them every day and I go through about 5 q tips a day. Per ear.

    haha ya I kid around with my DH that DS is saving all that wax to make a candle :)

    Poor kid. I had tubes put in multiple times, and to this very day, I struggle with constant ear infections, I hope to god my baby doesnt need tubes.

    I do it when he's asleep..:)  Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to because he is a squirmy worm.

    Oh my word me too. I worry about the same thing. But my parents smoked in the house and I wonder if that jacked me ears up. Poor ears! They are so sensitive.

    Sorry your baby has to put up with the constant swabs, OP!

    Yes! There is so much. I just clean them when she's in the bath, she's preoccupied enough not to care. The real trouble is her stuffy nose these days. She's decided she no longer likes the 'booger sucker'. Poor girl sounds awful trying to breathe : (

    Poor DS has the same issue...I keep cleaning & it keeps coming back...last time he went to the Dr he clogged up 3 of those scopes while looking in his ears!!

    Am I the only one that loves picking wax out of lo's ears while we nurse? Not to mention picking cradle cap. I might be part chimp but I loved doing that w dd7 and I love it w this lo as well.
