Baby Names

baby girl =)

Her name is going to be Cali and we wanted her middle name Avery. My family thinks her name should be Calissa and we call her Cali because Cali Avery Walker doesnt sound right. But i dont like the name Calissa even tho it flows nice. Any suggestions on how to make Cali work as a first name? New middle names are okay =) thanks!!

Re: baby girl =)

  • What about Calla (like the Lily) nn Cali? Or Calista?

  • I do think Cali, especially spelled that way, does look like a nickname.

What about Calista or Calliope or Callia?

  • That's a hard one, but these may help narrow down what you do/don't want.  Good luck!

  • I had a friend in high school whose name was Calyssa! So similar to how you have it spelled, I think I like Cali the way it is though!

  • Also love the name Avery...

  • To me Cali seems like a nn, not a formal first name.  The first thing I thought was California.  I REALLY like PPs suggestion of CamilleCamilla and nn Cali.

  • I had a pedicure this week from a lady who has a daughter Cali.  Her full name is Callandra...which I'd never heard of- but could be a good option for you! :)

     Good luck!

  • I agree. Both are beautiful names but the flow doesn't really work.

What about Calla, Calianna/Caliana, Calista, Calliope, or Callia all with the nicknaame Cali?

If you don't like any of them and want to use Cali than you could change Avery. Some names that are similar to Avery:

    Aviana/Avianna

    Aveline

    Avalone

    Ava

    Aviva

    Avonlea

    Avril
