Just wondering, when did you start having Braxton Hicks and what do they feel like? Does it feel like cramping? Is 33 weeks too early to start feeling contractions/BH, how did you know what was what. This is my first baby and I just don't know what to expect or what to look for. Thanks!
Re: Braxton Hicks/Contractions
yea same with me, I was around 28 weeks. It feels like ur belly gets really tight, sometimes I had some cramping
BH start around 6 weeks - though most women don't feel them until much later.
I felt my first one around 20ish weeks. It felt like my whole tummy tightened up hard as rock for 20 seconds or so. It wasn't painful and it didn't stop me in my tracks or anything.. just sort of an uncomfortable feeling.
Agreed. For a while I thought they were little girl balling up on one side but my doctor said they are most likely BH's and nothing to worry about. I've probably had them twice a day or so since 18 weeks.

The first BH contractions I felt were around 24 weeks and unlike others have posted mine were stop me in my tracks painful. My stomach would tighten up for 10-20 seconds with a pain surrounding my belly button. I tried to drink plenty of water and lay down but nothing worked. Luckily I don't have them very often now and taking a shower then laying down seems to help a little.
My OB said some women can have painful BH contractions. I guess I am one of those few lucky ones.
This is also my first baby (:
I'm not exactly sure when it's too soon to start feeling BH.
I started feeling BH around 24 weeks.
They've only gotten worse from there on out too.
It feels like your stomach stiffens, gets as hard as a rock.
It sometimes can be VERY uncomfortable. Other times, I hardly notice.
Then after it's done being as hard as a rock, it softens and it's really squishy for me.
Sometimes when it's in that jelly-stage feel, I get a few light contractions.
every once and a while, i'll get some pretty hard ones. But I know it's not the "Real-deal" Know what I mean?
Hope this helps!
