Suggestions for bday gift for 4 year old girl?

DS's little bud is having a birthday party on Sunday. I haven't purchased a gift for a 4 year old girl in like 10 years (my youngest neice is 14).

I know you ladies will have some good ideas. Something like $20, please. Thanks!

    Cant' go wrong w/ anything dress up or princess related.

    The last 4 girl birthday parties, we've given - 2 tag reader books (Cinderella and animal somethng), Snow White dress up outfit, bathrub swimming Barbie doll, mini Disney princess dolls w/ changing outfits.

    Any of the Melissa and Doug cooking stuff, or the sticker books! They have pretty good deals at kohls.

    For DD's last bday she got--dress up stuff, craft stuff, a real neat butterfly that hangs from her ceiling (the mom got it at Pier 1), games, clothes, Squinkies (very popular), Barbie stuff

    Princess anything, dress up anything.  Books, art and crafts stuff, PJ's, stuffed animals (DD got a stuffed dog in a purse that came with a brush and leash and stuff last year), Barbie dolls, puzzles.
