C and I have to pay for private insurance because it is cheaper than getting it through DH's job (long story). Anyways, I just found out that Regence is hiking up our premiums to $632 a month. Of course, I've got the only plan that carries maternity. Does anyone out there buy their own private insurance and likes what they have? Care to share what company? I know that prices will vary due to age and such.

Insurance blows. We pay 200 a month for SO's 1,500 deductible, 7,000 out of pocket plan through Blue Cross.
Thanks, LCass. It's a total PITA, you have no idea. Smit, I've done Group Death before and I didn't mind it. Also, they do have individual plans. However, they absolutely refused to send me to a specialist for my Hypothyroid. After I got other insurance, I've been to an Endocrinologist and I refuse to go backwards. Elsa, I've never heard of Kaiser. Too bad they don't offer that same plan.
Maybe I should just move to Canada. :-)
