Some of the posts below talking about people and all the hard work and stress in their lives makes me think of how I constantly remind myself and my DH not to be a Negative Nelly. So how is your glass half full today?
Me- despite horrible traffic and a commute going on 100 minutes making me late for two appointments this AM, my glass is half full bc DH is driving and I have been catching up on my bumping.
Re: How is your glass half full today?
What an uplifting post!
The kids were easy peezy this morning, my commute was smooth and it's my fave class at the gym today. Plus, we are this much closer to the wknd!!!!!
Thanks for this post. Maybe we need this once a week?
Mine is that my mom and dad are coming to see us this weekend! I love getting to spend time with them, love getting to see them with my daughters and a big bonus is that they usually help me get my house clean

Goodbye my second angel (9/18/2011)
Yah, how awesome!
My MIL was sent to he emergency room for a possible lung clot. She was released early this morning because there wasn't one! So grateful!
On a lesser note...I'm wearing my skinny dress pants to work.
I like this post. We need more like these.
My glass if half full because despite some challenges at work---I do have a job! Also, despite me having to juggle a lot as a Disiciple of Christ, wife, mother, home manager, and employee outside of the home, I only have a 5 minute drive to DS's school and a 15-20 minute drive to work! Half full---all day :-)

Ok i'll play. I'm also wearing my skinny jeans, size 10 and they FIT.
Can I just say my glass still feels quite half empty though because my girls still have fevers and I should be at home with them. I'll probably go home from work early.

I totally agree. I ran like the wind from this board yesterday.
My glass is way more than half full this morning bc I got a ton of baby belly laughs this morning before I left the house. My 3 yo DS also pooped on the potty yesterday for the 1st time!! Yay!
I like this post to put things in perspective. My glass is half full because for the first time in a while, I have a minute to breathe at work. Also, my parents are picking up the kids tonight and making us all dinner which in and of itself makes it a glass half full kind of day.
Oh I need to add another one.
I am wearing non-maternity pants today! Woot! I am finally starting to fit into my pre-pregnancy pants!

Goodbye my second angel (9/18/2011)
Our well went dry yesterday (long story) so I had to find alternate accomodations for the family overnight.
My mom was still out at the cottage, invited us to come, made dinner and read to the kids before bed. The colours are just spectacular right now, cool, crisp fall air and the drafty cottage was just what the doctor ordered for a good night's sleep.
DD slept until 7:20 a.m. today, instead of screaming for Mommy at 5 a.m. like she did yesterday.
We are facing a huge bill to replace our A/C and heater, but at least we'll be breathing in clean air and our home will be safer after we get the work done.
I am still sick, but I'm getting better. My head no longer feels like it's going to explode, and the flood of snot from my nose has dried up somewhat.
Thanks for this post, I love it.
I am getting together with an old friend tonight for happy hour, I haven't seen her in probably 2 years.
Also I am grateful everyday for my loving husband and 2 beautiful children, I am truly blessed.
I just looked at my teaching schedule ( I go back on Monday) and it is awesome! I have 2 extra planning periods a week.
And my maternity leave replacement was nice enough to invite me to her house last night to clue me in as to what I've missed at work in the last 6 months. Her roommate cooked a yummy dinner and they even gave me leftovers to take home so I don't have to cook tonight.
This is good!
I overslept this morning, but DH is taking off for a mental health day and he took DD to daycare so I was still close to on time!
DD woke up around 5 am (hence why I overslept) and yelled for me - I came in, held her hand and then voila, she fell back asleep.
ETA - we had a meeting today about our office move (which I am totally getting the shaft on and I'm all kinds of bitter about it) HOWEVER, at the meeting, my co-worker brought her 8ish week old newborn into the office for a litlte bit - and seeing her was pretty awesome! and helped me be less bitter about the stupid meeting and the stupid move.
My DH & DD are out of town this week to the ILs - so I get to go home, sit on the couch, and watch whatever I want. I get to be lazy and messy. I miss them like crazy, but I am trying to enjoy my quiet time after work.
And I'm looking forward to my mom visiting tomorrow for a bead day. We are going to make stuff with the beads we bought last week.
Oh and yay for the decision to not use any vacation time while on maternity leave. I got paid for it in my final check.
Great post!
I am off today and tomorrow and even though today was a day packed with plans, I got to spend it with my BFF who lives across the country now and I rarely get to see.
Agreed! Awesome! As someone who used to commute 2 hours and 20 mins per day, and now commutes 10 minutes each way, I know you will LOVE IT!
