Funny, this is something I cared a lot about when I was engaged. Now (and last pregnancy really), I just don't care about being ring-less. Meh.
ETA: there are about a million other things I'd rather spend money on. Even a new, flattering maternity shirt would be a much bigger (also temporary use) deal to me than a fake ring.
That's what I want to do...My rings are getting tight so I want to come up wiht a game plan..I was originally going to put my wedding set on the necklace I always wear, but both rings are thick bands, and they're soldered together and quite heavy. I worry about the chain being able to sustain the extra weight that long, plus it's really kind of annoying because they click and clang together and make alot of noise. I just showed DH an example of a temporary ring I was looking at (less than $30 and it looks almost exactly like my wedding band) and he was asking me why I would spend money instead of just NOT wearing a ring for the rest of the pregnant. I don't know why, but to me the idea of NOT wearing ANYTHING for 3 months isn't an option- my rings are very important to me and I wouldn't feel right without them or something in their place.
I have long had what I called my "stunt ring" that I wear if I'm doing something like swimming or gardening, or know I'll be in some situation where I want to wear my band but don't want to get it dirty.
if/when I have to take my rings off, I'll just go without them. My husband and I both know were married and screw other people if they want to judge and think I'm pregnant out of wedlock. Then, i'll just put them back on after LO is born. not a big deal to me or my hubby.
My wedding bands haven't fit for a while...going on 2 months I think. I really didn't want to not wear anything for that long, so we went to James Avery one day. We picked out a ring together. It's a simple silver band with a December birthstone in the middle. I should be able to wear it the remainder of my pregnancy. Then, when LO is older, I'll give it to her.
This is funny because I was just at Kohl's the other day and I stopped and looked at rings for a few minutes, wondering if I wanted to buy a cheap one to last me a couple months.
I had some major swelling early on and haven't been able to wear my rings for at least 3 months now. It definitely took me awhile to get used to and I still miss having them on my finger.. but I guess I decided that a ring is just a thing. Our marriage is such much more than a little ring.
I won't. Last time my rings got snug pretty quickly and I was due in the middle of the summer so when I had to take them off I wore them on a necklace around my neck.
This time they still fit good so far... if they get tight I will do the same as last time.

If/when my rings stop fitting, I'm just going to wear one I already have. It's a ruby ring (my birthstone) with diamonds that has always been a little too loose for my ring finger, so it should work. I wouldn't go out and buy one, though. People can go eff themselves if they care that much about a stranger's marital status.

That's a really great idea..LO and I should have the same birth month (unless she comes pretty early) so that would be kind of cool..I may just borrow your idea..
It depends how many weeks I am when that happens. So far I can still wear my rings, though I can tell they are starting to get a little snug. If it doesn't happen until 35-36 weeks, I'll probably just go ringless.
There are very few days where my rings will fit so I started wearing my grandma's wedding band (top ring) during the week and when we go out I wear her engagement ring that DH turned into a right hand ring for our wedding day (second from top ring)
Last time I didn't get a temp ring, but if they stop fitting this time I will get a big fake rock for fun. When I have bad days at work, I love looking at it and thinking about my life outside of work.
Last time I had to take my engagement ring off at around 7.5 months, but was able to keep my wedding band on until the last couple of weeks, so I don't see the point in getting a replacement. Honestly, I don't really see the point anyways, but to each her own.

My e-ring is bigger than my w-ring. I have yet to have my e-ring resized because I want to be done having kids first. Last time my w-ring got too tight, but I was able to wear my e-ring the entire pregnancy (took it off while I was in labor, but that was it). Should be the same this time especially since I won't be hugely pregnant during the heat of the summer. If for some reason my e-ring doesn't fit me then I will get a cheap band or something.
With my first pg, I wore a ring that normally fits my middle finger. I wear it on my right hand occasionally. It looks nothing like an engagement/wedding band, but I hate the feeling of not having my rings on so having something there is a comfort to me.
My rings don't fit anymore - fingers are huge swollen but enough that the rings are too tight now...I feel naked without them but I have really bad allergies to costume jewellery and don't want to resize my ring for 3 months of wear so I've just been doing without....I told my husband I feel naked without it, so I'll leave it up to him if he wants to get me a temp ring or not. I just figure the money I'd spend on that could go towards diapers or bottles or something else baby related!
It may sound strange, but my fingers feel naked without my wedding rings. When they stopped fitting last pregnancy, I bought a cheapie silver and faux peridot eternity band (DS's birthstone) to wear in their place. I will wear it again when my rings no longer fit this time around, which unfortunately may be soon.

I have a fake from QVC. I bought it to wear when I travel since my fingers swell when i travel oversees.
It looks real (and I've gotten quite a few compliments on it) and it was only about $30.
