Post D&C Update - somewhat hopeful

Had my post-op appt from my D&C today.  My OB didn't think I had to wait too long to try again (though ultimately that's something I'm going to have to sort out with my RE and insurance co if we do another IVF) but that was encouraging.

I asked her if there's any truth to the whole "you're more fertile after a m/c" thing and she said they have seen anecdotal evidence for that being true. Also encouraging.

And most encouraging for us over 40 gals....she said one of the other docs in the practice had a woman come in yesterday PG naturally (after years of fertility treatments) at.....drumroll....48!!!!!!  She said it's very early so who knows if it will be viable but OMG.  I personally am sending this mystery woman sticky vibes!

Me-42 DH-43 TTC #1 since 3/11
HSG 7/11 showed possible blockage
8/11 BFP, then early m/c  (Natural)
9/11 blood tests reveal Factor V Leiden (heterozygous)
11/11 Hysteroscopy revealed uterine septum, which was repaired
12/11 1st round of Clomid (100mg)=BFN
1/12 2nd round of Clomid (100mg)=BFN 
2/12 Repeat HSG=All clear 
2/12 IUI with injectables #1=BFN 
3/12 natural cycle=BFN 
4/12 IUI with injectables #2=C/P 
7/12 IVF #1=30ER, 9F, 3T, 1 Frostie 7/29=BFP! 
8/27/12 No Heartbeat. Waiting to M/C 
9/13/12 D+C
12/12 Operative Hysteroscopy 
1/31/12  IVF#2 ...BFP 2/6 m/c 2/12 methotrexate due to presumed ectopic
July '13 IVF #3: 13R, 10M, 8F=BFP
1st Beta=549  2nd Beta 594 3rd Beta 422. M/C #5
IVF#4 in November=BFP…TWINS!!!!!

    Wow, amazing.  That is hopeful.  I'm glad to see your posts that that you hold on to hope.  I feel mine slipping away sometimes, but it helps to hear these stories.  I'd like to send some sticky vibes to that woman, too!

    TTC 10/11. IUI 2/12. BFP 3/8/12. 4/26/12 missed mc. RE consult 5/17/12. IVF #1 ER 7/13/12 53R, 41M ICSIed, 32F, 8 5d, 6 6d blasts - all PGD/frozen. PGD results 1 normal M and 1 normal F, 1 maybe M. FET 9/6, transferred 1 F embie. Beta 9/15 BFN. FET#2 planned for 11/2012 put off until 2013. Surprise BFP 11/21/12!! My son was born on 7/24/13!

    FET 4/28/2015 - Transferred 1 M embie. 5/6/15 BFP!

    So sorry for your loss... praying you get your rainbow baby soon!

     IUI #1-#4 BFNs and a few cancelled cycles in the mix.
    - poor responder
    ***Suprise BFP on 6/13/13. Natural MC @6wks 3days
    IVF#1 and 2- Cancelled due to no response on max stimms
    FET 5/20- BFP
    1st Beta- 641
    2nd beta- 2166
    Sono- TWINS!!!!
    Two Boys! Born January 2015 @36 weeks.  Healthy and no NICU!  So blessed!

    I had a few hopeless days this week.  Don't know what it was about, but trying to get back on track here.

    Dawn, sorry again for your loss, but I'm glad to see you are looking for the silver lining.
