Pumpkin Patch near Atlanta

We are not doing Burts this year because I loathe that drive and traffic but, MIL wants to get pictures of the boys "casually playing together?" by pumpkins. They haven't seen each there in over a year so I am hopeful they will cooperate for what she wants.

I need somewhere ITP that is cute and easy~ish to get to. She is coming from Dawsonville, I am in McDonough. TIA

We have been to Berry Patch Farms in Woodstock the past two years. It is a lot of fun. They have a hayride take you to the "patch". It can get crowded but we like to go first thing in the morning and it isn't bad at all.

If you go early in the season, there are a ton of pumpkins at Brookhaven Christian Church right by Oglethorpe. If you wanted to go up to Dawsonville (right by the outlets) we go to Kinsey Family Farms. It is nice, right on a small pond. They do a tractor ride and have a bunch of pumpkins and wagons for cute photos. Also Southern Belle on the southside is great too.

Depends on what kind of pics you want. There aren't miles and miles of pumpkins (they are on pallets in the parking lot and lawn), but there is enough, plus hay, and they have always had a photo-prop spot to take photos. But I wouldn't say "casually playing among pumpkins" would work.

We go to the pumpkin patch at Northside UMC next to North Atlanta High School. It's pretty scenic as far as local patches go (no pallets, everything on a grassy knoll) but don't think they're out till next week.

It's not central, but we loved Southern Belle last year! It had so many activities and they were all included in the price. We all loved the pig races! I thought it was a great value. Plus, they actually grow their own pumpkins. If you can talk them into coming down your way, I think it's worth the drive.

And congrats on your baby girl! At least I'm assuming it's a girl with all that pink everywhere.

We love the Brookhaven one! I am all about a parking-lot pumpkin patch ITP. The only thing is that it's right on Peachtree, so I am always super paranoid about the kids running around. We usually go a few times, and I also like to support the church (I know it's in a very small way, but still). The kids love it, and we call it "the pumpkin patch church." LOL! The one at Northside is good, too. We've never actually visited it but have driven by in years past and it looks nice.

Oh, I just thought of another one we went to when Kate was a little over a year old. It was actually in a grassy area off of Monroe. If you are going south on Piedmont (like you are going to the Botanical Garden), turn left onto Monroe. A little ways down Monroe, over on the left, there was a pumpkin patch set up, but it is down below the street level. You might even have to pass it to see it well. This was a few years back, so I don't know if it is still done. I think it benefited a school or something for children? That was a nice one, too, and actually in a grassy area, which might be better for photos.

ETA: OK, that one off of Monroe is/was Hillside Pumpkin Patch. I have no idea if they still do it, but here are some links:

P.S. I was just looking on Brookhaven Christian Church's Web site, and it looks like they won't be unloading pumpkins until 10/14, with the selling starting sometime that afternoon (from what I can tell--there is just a schedule for people to sign up to work at the pumpkin patch). Just thought I'd share bc it seems kind of late to me.

It's not a pumpkin patch, but we always get beautiful pictures of our son playing with the pumpkins they set up at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. They arrange a bunch around a tree on the big lawn and elsewhere. Very pretty.

For an actual pumpkin patch, we love Southern Belle Farms, which is right in your backyard.

It is definitely not the typical pumpkin patch but we took Hunter to the Southern Belle Farm on Saturday and it was sooooo much fun. We spent more time playing, jumping, doing the corn maze and tons of other activities where we did not even get a pumpkin. They had a lot of activities for kids and adults. I highly recommend it. I think it is in McDonough as well.
