These are commonly given to preemies. I don't find them silly at all.
Eta if you read the reason they were created it was because she had a preemie.
Yep. My preemie had this on her car seat and strollers for the first year of her life. When your baby's immune system is weak, its ok to be a little "crazycakes" about protecting them.
My sister's hospital handed them out on discharge - I think they're GREAT idea. It's amazing how many people want to stick their finger in a newborn's hand to "hold hands". It happens everywhere! The grocery store checkout line, the bank, pretty much everywhere.

I don't find them silly at all. I am having twins in the middle of flu and RSV season. If my hospital does not hand them out to me, I will buy them myself. My friend has one on her preemie's car seat. He spent 125 days in the NICU, I don't blame her for being cautious.

My IVF Journey
I had one and my LO was the opposite of preemie (15 days overdue!). I don't think they're silly. I don't understand why people need to touch babies so much!

THANK YOU! I have been wanting one of these since I saw one on a car seat in Babies R Us. I asked the lady where she got it, and it had been a gift so she wasn't sure where to get them.
It might seem silly but I cringed every time random strangers stopped and touch my baby when we would be out in public. It drove me crazy!!! I will definitely be getting one that I can at least put on when we are walking through the mall. And I would feel even stronger about it if I had a preemie. As it was, DD spent 2 weeks in the NICU and when you see just how hard some of those babies have to fight to stay alive, you want to protect them as best you can but not lose your mind being cooped up inside!!
I saw this the other day and think it is a great idea! Especially if the baby was in the NICU or is sick. I want one for when I have a baby, even if it does make me look crazy lol.
