henry took his cold. That said I got one to use to scald my BM (I had a lipase issue). It is a green and white one from target... worked fine for my purposes!
I didn't have one and didn't feel I missed out on anything. I nursed at home and when we were out DD just drank the breastmilk that I pumped cold or at room temperature. Occasionally I would run the bottle under warm water just to take the chill off but DD was not picky---as long as she got fed she didn't care what the temp was or where the milk came from!
Also---I had a friend who had one and so her DS was so picky that it had to be warmed to that temp or he wouldn't drink it so it really limited what she could do. Not sure if that was just his temperment or because he was used to the warmer....
I didn't BF, but we still didn't use a bottle warmer for DS's formula bottles. We used room temp water.
ETA: plus bottle warmers seem to be a hit or miss item. Some work well and some a just a big waste of money. definitely something you want to do your research on before you purchase. Read all reviews.

This is my 3rd, and i had an avent bottle wamer...never used it once! I nursed right from the breast most of the time, and when i did make bottles w/ formula i just used warm water from the tap (we have a filtration system for our water). I would store breast milk in the freezer bags too, but everytime i knew baby was gonna want to eat soon, i just put the bag in a glass of warm water until baby was ready to eat, and by then it was at perfect room temp!
When I had to give DS pumped breast milk I would just heat a mug of water in the microwave then put the bottle in the hot water. I would let it sit in the hot water until the milk was warm. DS didn't really care if the milk was warm or cold but the GI specialist recommended warm milk because it's easier for the tummy to digest when you have a baby with stomach issues.
I never had one for DS. I EBF so it was never an issue at home. At daycare, they just ran the breastmilk in the bag under warm water for a few minutes and it was ready to go.

This. I kind of feel like bottle warmers encourage baby to be a little more picky. If they are used to room temperature or even cold (chilly) bottles, its easier for you because you don't have to always worry about warming something up. Which can be very nice when you are out and about or traveling.
