I hated everything about it growing up. I went to college in NYC because i needed a big city, action, arts, liberal viewpoints..... Once I got married though I started really missing it. Now DH & I live in the most rural location you can find withing commuting distance of Manhattan (I'm way more isolated now than I was in NH), and I love going to visit my mother.
Guess you can take the girl out of the woods, but can't take the woods out of the girl.
