10 weeks pregnant, fetus only measuring 6

Hi ladies....

 I was wondering if anyone else had this experience. Yesterday I went in for my first OB checkup. My husband and I do FAM so I know exactly when I am ovulating, etc. I know, without a doubt, that according to when I had my LMP I am 10 weeks 3 days pregnant. However, when they did the ultrasound the baby was only measuring 6 weeks 1 day and the Dr. was unable to find a heartbeat. The doctor said I could have ovulated later than I thought but I know that can't be true. He wants me to come do a blood test again tomorrow and then I will have another ultrasound next week. I know I may be thinking negatively, but I am already preparing myself that we may have miscarried this baby. Thanks.

    If you are certain that you ovulated about 8 weeks ago then unfortunately you are experiencing a miscarriage. There would be no way for a 10 week baby to be measuring so far behind and things to turn around. I'm so sorry for your loss. (((hugs)))

    BFP #1: 12/2009 m/c 1/2010 BFP #2: 6/2010 m/c 8/2010

    BFP #3: 10/2011 ectopic 11/2011 (right tube removed, learned left tube was probably nonfunctional due to scar tissue from infection after m/c)

    3 failed IUIs, IVF #1: 18R, 12M, 10F, 3 poor quality 5d embryos transferred= BFP #4!!!!!

    Betas: 9dp5dt: 64 ~14dp5dt: 91 (expecting miscarriage, doubling time of 236 hours) ~16dp5dt: 200~18dp5dt: 500

    First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat

    LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

    TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015

    Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015

    Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270

    First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.

    JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

    TTC #3: Since October 2017. BFP #6 July 2, 2018 EDD: March 16, 2019 [/spoiler]

    I agree with the above post. I'm sorry for you loss, my thoughts & prayers are sent your way.   My 1st MC was somewhat this way. I knew for sure (used OPK) how far along I should be, but my 1st US didn't match up.  It was only a few days later when I had my miscarriage.

    (((Hugs))) I had a missed miscarriage that was discovered at 11 weeks. The baby measured only 6 weeks and didn't have a heartbeat.

    So sorry you are going through this.I had the same thing happen to me, and I track EVERYTHING as well. So I know exactly when all that was as well. Thursday we had our 1st u/s and he said the baby wasn't developed for 10 weeks but there's a heartbeat. So he ordered an u/s at the hospital for yesterday to get a closer look. The lady said I was measuring 6 weeks, she said look you can see the flicker of the  heartbeat. That is a drastic screw up in weeks. So I went in today for a follow up with my dr and he said they couldn't find a heart beat last week and they didn't find one yesterday, when I was told both times there was a heartbeat! Sadly, we are in the process of losing the baby. So I know exactly what you are going through. It's nice to have this group to come to though. I wish I could send you a big hug! After today that's all I wanted. I wish you the best!

    Just wanted to update:

     Went to the Dr. this morning and I did miscarry. Now I am trying to figure out what option is the best for me (DNC or passing it at home.)

    So sorry! I know this late, I took the meds to help pass. I really didn't want the DNC unless I had to. After 4 hours it happened. How has everything gone with you?
