WTF is a durian, anyway?

Welcome to week 33.  Your baby is the size of a durian.

I canNOT be the only person who had to google what a durian fruit was.  Where the heck does The Bump even BUY their produce?  Where on earth is a squash (34w) smaller than a coconut (35w)?  I wouldn't want to have that coconut drop on my head.

I feel like my uterus is on an episode of Chopped.

    Haha, I thought the same thing at week 33! 

    As far as the coconut, maybe it still has the husk on? That would make it a little bigger leastways... They really need to be specific about these kind of things Wink

    They really put the weirdest comparisons on here. A rutabaga? Why? And being an eggplant for three weeks straight was seriously depressing.

    I would be Googling that too! I do wonder about The Bump and their choice of fruits/veggies! It also drives me crazy that the ticker will say one thing, but the email they send says something else.

    Ha! Durian is a super stinky fruit you find in SE Asia. I tried some a few years ago in Vietnam just to try it. I don't think you can even buy whole durian in the States because it smells so bad. I think you can only get it frozen. If you wanted, which, IMO, you would not. I thought it was an odd choice for TB to choose too since how many of us have ever seen one??

    I tried durian in Thailand a few years ago. You either love it or hate it- I guess there is no middle. People say it smells like feet and onion.

    I was/am one of the sickos that loved it. I thought it tasted like all sorts of goodness and smelled just fine.

    i like 'em too (: but yea. it's either you love it or you hate it. they have it in the philippines and you can actually buy a whole durian in asian stores. i've seen a couple but never attempted to buy any because i'm the only one who likes it. i, personally, don't mind the smell but it does have a very strong odor that alot of people don't like. so i might raise hell if i were to bring it back home.

    This made me laugh SO hard! Thanks for that! I'm totally going home and telling DH this one since we're Chopped addicts, and I'm constantly Googling their ingredients.
