Letting BD keep DS overnight

Ive posted here before about BD wanting my son overnight and Ive always said no. Well my brother got married in August and my parents are giving him a reception in October. Its starting at 6p.m and wont be over till well after 11p.m. My son is coming for dinner and then leaving. My whole family is going to be there so I cant ask any of them and my SO family would just call the first time he got whiney and SO would just leave. Which I dont want to happen.

So I decided to ask BD if he could come get him and keep him overnight. Of course he said he would. I dont want him to stay overnight but its not fair to my 2 year old for me to wake him up at 12 a.m or later. Ive never been away from my son overnight EVER!! I know he wiill be safe and everything will be fine. And of course if he cant get him to calm down or go to sleep Ill go get him no matter what time.

I know hes going to be fine im just worried about me!!!

Well i am not sure if this passed or.not but i do struggle with the same prom lem with.my two boys Justin is t5 and Grayson is q1. i try to tell myself if justin is tyere Grayson will be okay and justin will tell me if something wasnt write but reality sets in Justin is getting to bog to have to stay with a baby sitter he is old enough to hang at family dinners and not cause a problem and Grayson has so much fun with dad and i know he will be happy and well feed and if i get a feeling i just call dad to make sure things are okay. But i know its not easy just say a little prayer and trust your choice...you arent leaving him with just anyone you picked him because you believed that in any case your son would come first if he was with his dad...good luck
