Cats and Babies

First, let me preface by saying that my cat Penny is an extension of my soul and our relationship goes far beyond normal crazy cat lady stuff. She is my familiar.

Yesterday, I was laying on my side, and Penny was snuggled up against my belly. My LO started moving up and down in slow rythmic motions, like she was petting Penny through my skin. Penny, was really digging it, and petting my bare tummy with her tail.

That is adorable!! My older cat always loved snuggling with my belly when I was pregnant with DD. Now when DD is asleep the cat will cuddle up at her feet (until she gets kicked

Aw, that is sooo cute.

My little Pumpkin has loved curling around underneath my bump. I think she will like the baby much more as a bump than as a baby, though, haha (at least for a while).

The Snurp (my 20 lb. orange tabby) sits next to the bump and holds hands with it. He likes to keep one paw on my tummy at all times. He totally knows what's going on.

Aw. My most standoffish cat turns into a snuggler when I'm pg. He wants absolutely nothing to do with the kids once they are outside, but he loves a baby bump.
