No period after a miscarriage

I had a miscarriage August 10. It was so early that I think it was technically considered a chemical pregnancy. I had a blood test and if not for that I would have never known I was pregnant, it would have just seemed like my period was rather late. Now it's been 46 days and I haven't had another period. I've read that it can take awhile for your cycle to normalize after a period but I'm not sure if I should be concerned yet or not. I took a pregnancy test almost 2 weeks ago and it was negative but I'm still not sure what to think. Any similar situations or insight?

    My 1st MC was on March 3rd & I didn't get my period back until April 18th - right at 46 to 47 days for me.

    If you haven't been preventing pregnancy and it's been a full 2 weeks since your last home test, I would take one again just to check.  If it's negative and you still haven't gotten your period and your concerned I would rec. contacting your dr to see what they say.

    I'm betting your cycle was just thrown off from the cp. That being if long cycles aren't typical for you and being that its been 6 weeks I'd call your doctor and see what they say about it. They might tell you to wait another couple weeks or they might give you something to jumpstart your cycle. Good luck!

    BFP #1: 12/2009 m/c 1/2010 BFP #2: 6/2010 m/c 8/2010

    BFP #3: 10/2011 ectopic 11/2011 (right tube removed, learned left tube was probably nonfunctional due to scar tissue from infection after m/c)

    3 failed IUIs, IVF #1: 18R, 12M, 10F, 3 poor quality 5d embryos transferred= BFP #4!!!!!

    Betas: 9dp5dt: 64 ~14dp5dt: 91 (expecting miscarriage, doubling time of 236 hours) ~16dp5dt: 200~18dp5dt: 500

    First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat

    LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

    TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015

    Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015

    Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270

    First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.

    JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

    Normally my periods are dead on, they were so regular I almost had them down the same time of day. I'm going to take another test soon and keep you posted. Thank you for the input.

    My OB said to call if I didn't get my period for 6 weeks after the m/c. So if your HPT is negative, I'd call your Dr.

    One of my longest cycles I had was the one after shortest pg which was a chemical. PG hormones can real havoc on your body, even if only present for a short amount of time.

    The general rule is to take a pregnancy test once a week up to 60 days. If you're still getting negatives and your period hasn't shown up, call your doctor and they can give you medication to jump start your cycle.

    And of course, if you do get a positive, do not post it in this board.
