Is this normal?

I just took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was positive! I had been having normal symptoms for a few days like breast tenderness, fatigue, and mild cramping. But now I am a little light headed.no one knows I am pregnant, not even my husband.he is out of town on business and I don't want to tell himover the phone.I haven't made a Dr appt yet because we just moved her 5 months ago so I don't even have a Dr. I just want to know if I need to be worried about being light headed.I did have a miscarriage 4 months ago so I am definately worried.please help!

Re: Is this normal?

  • Well, I would see a doctor. Even though you havent had the chance to pick one out, make your appointment with one, and you can always switch later. This will give you some time to find one to your liking.

  • It usually means your iron is low. Make sure you are taking your prenatals. My sister has low iron and when she was pregnant she passes out a lot. She has a healthy 13 year old and 11 year old.

  • Thank you! I do sometimes have low iron and a doctor told me they think it is because I have celiac disease.I feel much better now.I am going to make a Dr appt asap and I'm picking up some prenatals this weekend.
  • Yeah, make sure you are getting some iron in you. Prenatals have a good amount for it. Remember don't drive if you feel light headed.

  •  I would also try eating something as well, something with substance

  • Thank you so much everyone! I love all the advice.I will take any and all of it. I am kind of going through this alone right now.my husband travels a lot for work during the week.and I am not telling my family until Christmas.
  • It's probably fine. Make sure you're drinking lots of water and taking prenatals, and definitely start looking around for an OB!

  • I wouldn't worry about the dizziness meaning something is wrong.  I had horrible dizziness/lightheadedness with my DD to the point where I would be walking and just pass out, and that was a very normal, healthy pregnancy.  I have already started having it a little with this pregnancy too, although so far not as bad... I would just make sure to drink enough water, eat enough healthy, filling food, and take your prenatal like everyone else said, and hopefully it will pass soon.  I would definitely find a doctor ASAP though!

  • I get light headed when my blood pressure gets low. Eat something salty and drink some water. If that doesn't help, I'd find a doctor right away and call for advice.
