I think I've read on here a few of you are experiencing restless leg syndrome. What does it feel like? Is it just a need for movement? Or is it like an ache?
I never had this with my first two pregnancies but I do now. It's a weird crawly twitchy feeling where you feel like you have to move your legs around or get up and walk, sometimes I have even jumped up off of the couch or bed because of it.
It's usually both legs for me. It usually only happens at night when I lay down to go to sleep.
I've actually thought it's worse if I haven't done much throughout the night/day. Like I HAVE to do something. I usually walk around for 10 minutes and then try to sleep again.
I just starting getting this last week, It sucks! It happens alot at night and I have to get up and walk around. I just fell uneasy and I need to move I dont get tingle skin or anything. Its usually only my left leg and arm, weird. My doctor said to take a calcium/magnesium supplement at night and it should help.
For me it is more of an uncontrollable NEED to move. Like if I don't I will explode.
It drives me bananas because for me it was always one of my warning signs before i had an anxiety attack and a half mg of Klonopin always took care of both... But since klonopin is category x while pregnant i am screwed. I usually get out of bed and do squats or lunges til my legs burn then try to sleep again.

Re: What does RLS feel like?
Kind of like a crawly feeling...like you NEED to move your legs (and in my case, arms as well, yay!). It SUCKS.
Heads up, don't take Benadryl or Tylenol PM because it will make it worse!
ugh it SUCKS
just what Mrs. Norry said. Like you HAVE to squirm and like your muscles are tickly or something.
and yes, Benedryl makes it 500 x worse
Can you believe it's only (usually) my left leg and arm? Weird, I know. But it can be only on one side.
