I'm getting the fever....

Baby fever that is! Wink

We have been indecisive about how much of an age gap between kids, 2 or 3 years, but I am really starting to get the itch. I am still bf'ing and haven't gotten a period yet. We aren't using any bc (but we also haven't been doing it too often), so I am kind of hoping for a suprise soon.

It's crazy that I want to be pregnant again. I didn't have an awful pregnancy, just VERY uncomfortable; morning sickness, reflux, back pain. But I miss it =(

Also, I know its going to be a stretch financially. The wise decision would probable be to wait..... but I just can't get it out of my head!

Who else is in the same boat? I remember Chunstad saying she was, right?

Re: I'm getting the fever....

  • Ugh..I have the FEVER!!  WE are actively trying, and I thought this was the month, but I think AF is on her way...stupid b!tch!!

MH and I know it will be a little tight financially, but we want them to be close.

I never thought in a million years that I would miss being pregnant..but I miss it.

  • I have chronic baby fever.  I'm trying to be responsible and stick to our original plan of spacing them out 2-3 years.  I've actually since thought that I'd love to have them a bit closer together, but financially we'll be better if we stick with the original plan.

But to be completely honest, the only thing keeping me from saying "Screw it!" and convincing DH that we need to start TTC right now is that I want to go visit my brother and his wife in London in June.  Which means I need to not be too pregnant to fly, so we need to hold off for a couple more months.  But I don't wanna! (said in my whiniest voice)

  • We are back to trying again

  • Definitely don't have the fever [thank God!!] but I did after DD. Hence the 2u2.
  • Yes I am!  Of course, no AF yet, and I'm still BF.  However (knock on wood) he's been sleeping through the night, so I'm surprised that AF hasn't come to visit.  We aren't doing anything to prevent it either, but not doing it as often as needed, probably.  My cycle is something like 35 days when it's normal.  I had an awesome pregnancy, so does that mean my next one will be a total b!tch?

We just watched "What to expect when you are expecting".  Eh, it was okay.  However, when everyone delivered the babies in the end made me teary eyed.  Especially the couple with the emergency c-section (that was us).  The fever was raised a couple degrees then.

    I love this! :

  • I have it! But we cannot afford daycare for two at the moment. We really need to buckle down and figure out our finances so we can have a little more wiggle room each month (I need to stop eating my lunch before 10 and then going to buy lunch at noon). I had an emergency C-section and terrible complications that ended with me having an open wound until January, so  I want to make sure I am adequately healed mentally and physically before we try for another child.
  • I do! We would be trying now, but I really want to wait until DS is sleeping at least a little better. I can't imagine having to deal with DS getting up multiple times a night while experiencing that insane first tri exhaustion. I'm hoping we can start trying around January. Financially we aren't in the best position, but we will just have to work with it. I won't let finances hold us back from TTC. When I got pregnant with DS we were doing awesome financially, but then DH got laid off three months before we had him. You can never really know what's going to happen. We would rather work with a tight budget for a few years than miss the opportunity to have another child. I'm not getting any younger. I do think if we were younger we'd probably space our kids out a bit more though.
  • I have the fever! But only because I want to announce the pregnancy, have the anticipation of finding out the sex after being Team Green, picking out a name, etc. I don't want to be pregnant or have a newborn.

I have had the fever for a while, but we had agreed to wait until T turns one to TTC again. Now that November is approaching though, I'm not sure that I'm ready. I really want to do it all again (crazy!) but the only thing holding me back is being sad that it will be the last time.

DH and I both only want 2 kids. It seems silly when I type it out but it's almost like once we get pregnant again, that's it, and there's no future pregnancy to look forward to. I love the anticipation of talking about when we have another, whether it will be a boy or girl, what it will be like for T to have a sibling, experiencing the kicks and rolls and new baby high, etc. Once we have another, that's it. I feel like a crazy person for thinking that way.

This is exactly how I felt when I got pregnant again. One of the first thoughts was, "Omg, this will be the last time I POAS" or, "This will be the last time.. xyz happens.."   It makes me sad, but it's bittersweet, too.

Yea, it sucks haha. But I guess the good part is that I never knew if I was exhausted from being pregnant or from having a baby who hates sleeping.

  • Damnit, I thought this was going to be about Bieber Fever.

I would love to have another baby in the near future, but we still have over $10,000 to pay for Cash's NICU stay (that is even with what insurance covered). We are going to talk about it in another year when C is 2 and if not then we will wait another year and if that point it's still a no then we are done. Dh is young, but I will be in my mid 30's then and while it's perfectly fine to have children then, it's not something I want to do.

  • I have the fever so bad. If I wasn't having such a hard time finding a job I would stop taking BC right now, but I know I need to go back to work first and we want a bigger house so TTC is probably going to be on hold for about 6 months, which makes me so sad :

  • Holy cow, Tysons! That is a lot of dough.

We are only having two as well, for sure. I suppose you could say I was developing a fever as three friends had babies in the last three months, and then...

Can I move to Canada now?  I think our total bill before insurance was a little over $80,000.

I am with you- I definitely don't have the fever to be pregnant again nor have a newborn at any point in the near future or ever.  Maybe it's because she was a terrible sleeper for so long, and she was colic for the last 2-3 hours a night for the first 3-4 months.  That was a terrible nightmare.  I love where we are now, but I love my friends who continue having newborns I can love on! Until they cry, then they make my boobs hurt.

That still boggles my mind.  I'm shocked that people are still having kids in the States!

It cost us $0 and we don't have any extra insurance besides OHIP (provincial health care).  We didn't even pay for parking; BIL dropped us off when I was in labour and my dad took DH home to get the car when it was time to leave.

We decided that this time around we are going to try team green! I am actually really excited to be pregnant and not know if it is a boy or girl! I loved knowing I was having a boy last time, but it'll be fun to try it both ways!
Damn I am getting too excited just thinking about it!!!!
