Christmas anyone??

So I know it's early but I make all of my kids stockings so I've started picking fabric and thinking of ideas. Ds1 has a snow man on his, ds2 a Christmas tree with gifts under it, mine has Santa and dh is from his fav movie A Christmas Story. Any ideas for Lucas's stocking?? It can't be too intricate since I'm not that great a sewing. Thanks girls

    Reindeer? Elf?  Teddy bear?  I love my moms stocking.  It's green and has the word "noel" stitched into it... Maybe too grown up like though.  I like the elf idea :)

    these are good ideas... I like reindeer and elf... you could do a lot with the elf one!

    I think Rudolph would be super cute on a stocking.  That's awesome that you make stockings for everyone!  We just order ours from Pottery Barn.  I meant to get one for DD last year while they were on sale but I think we weren't 100% on her name since we found out she was a girl on Christmas day.  

    We're dorks and even have stockings for our cats...

    My mom did this for us when we were little and she still puts mine up for me.. :) She made one for hubby too since we really don't see his family much. This is wonderful.  I've got Rudolph on mine, btw, it's very cute!  You could also do a typical Christmas toy, i.e. blocks or a teddy bear, or a present. Reindeer are way cuter though :)

    Now I'm obsessively looking on pinterest for homemade stocking ideas.  I want to make LO one!!  And maybe DH too.  Only problem is...I am a novice sewer.

    (I'm completely jacking your thread here to talk about myself haha) Usually I'm hardcore about "no Christmas until after Thanksgiving"... I go so far as to totally avoid the mall and Target in October and November, because I don't want to get tired of the decorations before December. But now with LO here, I AM SO EXCITED for Christmas that I can't help myself and I've already picked out her stocking and am making a Christmas list for her. Somebody stop me...

     anyway- I like the reindeer idea. You could look at the Pottery Barn Kids stockings for inspiration- https://www.potterybarnkids.com/shop/christmas/christmas-stockings/

    Other ideas.... Christmas lights on a string, a wreath, a train, holly....

    I love Christmas and am getting so excited about it this year with Connor. I'm already rearranging the living room furniture in my head to make room for the tree. I've already started a wish list on Amazon for Connor. This thread reminded me to start looking for stockings.

    I love that you do this. So cool. I don't even have any good ideas i just like that you do this. My Aunt makes really intricate ones for each new child in the family, My sisters and I all have ones from her and I totally cherish it. Your kids will love them when they are older!
