Sorry for the newbie question, but I don't think I had much RLP with Avery. It feels like I pulled a muscle in my side, half way between my hip bone and my belly button. About two months ago I would get sharp pains there once in a while, but it was only if I shifted positions. Now it just feels like that area is constantly sore, and I get a sharp pain whenever I pick something up or stretch or switch positions. Last night just lying in bed the pain woke me up at 4 a.m. and I had to get some Tylenol. Is this normal, or do I need to call my OB? I thought RLP was just intermittent pain, not constant. When will it go away? Is there anything I can do for it?
Re: Is this just round ligament pain?
BFP #2 5/27/12. EDD 2/1/13. m/c and D&C 6/21/12.
Interesting idea. I'll have to look into those, although it seems ridiculous that I would need one already given how small my belly is right now.
I think maybe I did overdo it a little during our move last week. And that's a great point about the toddler. I may have to stop picking her up every time she asks me. A massage sounds nice.
Yes, the pain definitely intensifies, and I can alleviate it by applying pressure in the right spots. I guess it probably is just RLP, which makes me feel better because I'm traveling for a week tomorrow and won't be near my OB. I wonder why we are having so more pain with our second pregnancies. I would think there'd be more the first time since things have never had to stretch and move around before.
