1st U/S....

Now I have been through this before with my other 2 children but for what ever reason this one has just got me so emotional and in utter awe. I suppose it is because I am older.
I was a bit sad when they would not let our 10 year old daughter in to see it but then I was excited to find out they now do a DVD that showed the fluttering of the heart... she was so excited to see it.
Okay now on to baby.
The Dr. had me dated at 7 weeks 2 days but the U/S showed me at 7 weeks exactly so that is wonderful. Baby is growing like he/she is supposed to. the heart rate was 135 BPM which the tech said was really good. I got to see of course the fluttering heart beat, the yolk sac and little tiny baby.
So all in all it was a great day. thank you for letting me share my excitement.

I love the DVD although it is very very quick if you pay attention you can see the fluttering and she said the next ultrasound to bring it back in and they will add more to it... they also load the pictures they take on it. Makes it so nice since I can share it with not only our daughter but other people as well. It is NEVER too early to start showing off baby pictures LOL
Congrats on the great u/s!
I'm surprised they wouldn't let your daughter stay. Maybe because it was such an early one? My 4 year old was allowed to sit in on my 18 week u/s. So maybe, hopefully, they'll allow her to join you for a later u/s.
